The 7-6 Lansing win over Sudbury was due largely to Kiyotake Yoshihara. The Red Storm designated hitter was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jeff Pledger, who finished 5th in the FL in saves with 26 last year, picked up the win in relief. Eric Barone took the loss for Sudbury. The loss drops Sudbury to 6-5.

Lansing got a knockout punch from Tyler Farrell. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was rockin'," said Farrell.
