Soggy conditions did not keep Sudbury and Arizona from playing their scheduled game.

The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs downed the Arizona Desert Storm, 15-3, at Bulldogs Ballpark. The Blueberry Bulldogs were led by Hugo Cabrera. Cabrera was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Josh Deere picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 5 in 5.1 innings. Willie Sevilla picked up the save for Sudbury, his 1st of the year.

Early in the game, right fielder Orlando Cuenca had a 2-run double for Sudbury. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 4-2.

"It never gets old," said Cuenca. "Winning, that is."

The win brings the Blueberry Bulldogs to 7-3, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
