Sugar Kings Roll Past Knights, 7-0
|
Mike Hieronymus left his imprint on the 7-0 Havana win against the Brooklyn Knights. Hieronymus, who is a two-time Great Glove Award winner, was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Antonio Jimenez in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Luis Lezama took the loss for Brooklyn. The loss has the Knights at 3-8.
With Havana leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Hieronymus hit a fastball from Luis Lezama for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Sugar Kings ahead, 4-0.
Hieronymus attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."
