Steeb Hot, Tigers Cold
|
Jim Steeb was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Ho Chi Minh City Tigers on 3 hits.
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Ho Chi Minh City manager Marc Lewis after the 1-0 loss to the Kansas City Kings.
Steeb finished with 12 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.
In the postgame press conference, Kansas City manager Shigeru Hayashi said Steeb "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
