Sudbury Takes 2-1 Series Lead with Walk-off Win
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs nearly wasted a strong game from starter Matt Wesberry, but were saved by some timely hitting in a 9th inning walk-off win over the St. Louis Archies today.

Wesberry pitched well in the 3-2 win at Bulldogs Ballpark. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run. The win allowed Sudbury to seize a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 League Championship.

The decisive blow was delivered by Michel Carvalho in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off fan favorite Jesus Gutierrez to win the game for Sudbury. The home crowd went nuts.

"We haven't forgotten how long this series might be, but 2-1 is a heck of a lot better than 1-2," Carvalho said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bulldogs Ballpark in Sudbury.
