The Portland Beavers took down the Buffalo Buffalo by the score of 6-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the League Championship. The largest share of the credit belongs to Portland starter Jeff Thibault, who threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 run.

Ethan Breaux, who finished 3rd in the AL in triples with 3 last year, helped out the Portland cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Thibault told the Portland Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
