Los Angeles Win to Pull Even With Brooklyn
|
The Los Angeles Kings and the Brooklyn Knights will take the Divisional Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Kings beat the Knights, 3-1, at Brooklyn Coliseum to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Los Angeles right-hander Alex Watkins had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball.
Mario Rodriguez came through with a big-time hit for Los Angeles. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Watkins.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 7th , 2052 at Sportsman's Park in Los Angeles.
