Colorado Springs Defeats Sheboygan
|
The Colorado Springs faithful were cheering in the streets, and Sheboygan fans wiping away the tears, after the Generals won the Round 3 at Bratwurst Park today.
The Generals clinched it by knocking off the Bratwurst 15-6 to take their 1st CBD Rookie League crown. Colorado Springs took the series 4-2.
"This club never gave up all year long," Colorado Springs manager Collin Walker told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did."
On the way to the Round 3 title, Colorado Springs compiled a 83-37 won-loss record and finished first in the Division 2.
"We just didn't play well enough to win," Bratwurst manager Matt Minor said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did."
