Kansas City Wins Division Series
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Sub League 1 Division Series. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Kansas City Hepcats swept aside the Wichita Falcons to advance to the League Championship Series, winning the final game by a 7-2 score at Wichita Grounds.

The series MVP was second baseman Rory Shepard, who hit .667 with a .692 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Kansas City Hepcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Mexico City Mole - Spokane Bulldogs series. Spokane leads the series 2 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
