Travis Blanks put the Rhome Rhavioli on his shoulders as they downed the Jacksonville Alligators in the Round 1.

Rhome won the deciding game by a 5-1 count at Alligators Stadium and wrapped up the series 4-2.

Blanks played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .630 batting average with a .643 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 6 RBI and 8 runs scored.

"I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said.

The Rhome Rhavioli don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Nogales Nómadas del Sol - Sheboygan Bratwurst series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
