Super Volcano Pick Up 3-2 Win Against Los Angeles
|
The Super Volcano grabbed a win, 3-2, at Volcano Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Los Angeles pitcher Alex Watkins. Watkins went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Kurat Feyzioglu got credit for the save for Yellowstone. It was his 4th of the year. The loss lowers the Los Angeles record to 5-4.
The Super Volcano benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fourth. With Adam Grizzle at bat and Yellowstone leading 2-1, the Los Angeles miscue allowed Yellowstone to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-1.
"Every loss hurts," said Los Angeles manager Jim KP. "But this was a tough one."
