Kings Fall Short at Dublin, 2-1
In a tight tilt between the Dublin Porters and the Los Angeles Kings, Karl Gordam was the difference-maker. The Dublin left-hander excelled in his team's 2-1 win in 14 innings. Dublin pitcher Evan King got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Eric Barone got the loss. The loss drops Los Angeles to 3-6.

The decisive blow was delivered by Victor Ruiz in the bottom of the 14th when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Espinoza to win the game for Dublin. The home crowd went nuts.

"Makes our job easier," said Ruiz, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
