Cossacks Heading to League Championship
The Kyiv Cossacks triumphed 5-4 over the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs at Bulldogs Ballpark in the Divisional Series to capture it 3-1.

The victory advanced the Cossacks to the League Championship.

For his superb play in the series, Cossacks left fielder Rod Garcia garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .643, scoring 4 runs and batting in 5.

"Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the World Series," Garcia said later. "I'll get to work on that."

The Kyiv Cossacks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Osaka Takoyaki - St. Louis Archies series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
