Los Angeles Absorbs 5-0 Loss to Brooklyn
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Brooklyn Knights and Los Angeles Kings.

The Brooklyn Knights downed the Los Angeles Kings, 5-0, at Brooklyn Coliseum. Stellar pitching by Ray Totino had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. The winner was Totino. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Toby Guinn. Zion Anthony earned the save for Brooklyn, his 2nd.

Esteban Gonzalez had a big solo home run for the Knights in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Brooklyn leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Toby Guinn, who finished 5th in the AL in ERA with 3.87 in 2044, and swatted a home run to center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knights ahead, 2-0.

"We've got a great group of guys," Totino said, "and we're having fun right now."

The win gives Brooklyn a record of 7-2.
