The St. Louis Archies topped the Detroit Pizzas, 6-3, in Federation League action at Pizzas Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to St. Louis pitcher and West Bradford Township, Pennsylvania, native Nate Edmondson. Satoharu Sato was credited with the save for St. Louis, his 3rd of the season. The Archies, now 6-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.

In the top of the second, St. Louis center fielder Albert Salgado had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Salgado stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, St. Louis. For the game, he went 1-5.

"Nate made some big pitches when he needed to," said Archies manager Terry Schneekloth.
