Pizzas Come Back Late, Nip Buffalo
The Detroit Pizzas racked up a win at The Greenhouse, bumping off the Buffalo Buffalo, 4-3. Bill Rich, who started for Detroit, pitched effectively for his team. The victory gives the Pizzas a record of 48-33.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Edwin Luna came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Buffalo pitcher Kody Merchlewitz, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Detroit on top, 4-3.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Rich said.
