The Arizona Desert Storm trumped the St. Louis Archies, 9-6, at Desert Storm Stadium. Arizona first baseman Chris Nicotra was terrific. He went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. The Desert Storm bumped their record to 43-37 with this latest triumph.

Arizona got a clutch hit from Bill Horning. The third baseman launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Horning.
