Chikara Nakamoto, who is tied for 4th in the AL in complete games with 1, was terrific for the Detroit Pizzas in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Buffalo Buffalo. His performance earned Nakamoto rave reviews. Nakamoto, the winner, moves to 5-4. He threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. The setback makes Buffalo 46-33.

Jose Caravaggio was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI for Detroit. The two-time Most Valuable Player Award winner had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Roberto Morales. It was his 93rd hit of the season.

"Chikara did a good job keeping the game under control," said Detroit manager Evan Compton.
