Madsen Now 6-9 After Beating Desert Storm
|
Desert Storm Stadium was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
Starting pitcher Justin Madsen gave the East Haddam Hyenas a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Arizona Desert Storm, 1-0, at Desert Storm Stadium. The third-place Hyenas have won 4 in a row.
Madsen kept the Desert Storm under his thumb. He scattered 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. The right-hander upped his season record to 6-9.
"Justin's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said East Haddam manager Joe Jankowski.
