The Buffalo Buffalo picked up a win at Sugardome II, knocking off the Havana Sugar Kings, 3-2. On the mound for Buffalo was right-hander Jimmy Miller. He played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Miller. He threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Zack Alvarez. Danny Rutledge closed the door for Buffalo, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Buffalo used a well-timed hit by Leon Alvarez to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Buffalo ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
