The Greenhouse was the site for Alliance League action featuring the Portland Beavers and Buffalo Buffalo.

Buffalo starter Glenn DePue pitched effectively against the Portland Beavers at The Greenhouse. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-2. DePue, who finished 3rd in the AL in wins with 15 in 2047, went the distance for Buffalo. He gave up 2 runs on 11 hits.

In the bottom of the sixth, Buffalo first baseman Paul Rader put his team on top. With no one out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 10th home run of the year. Portland pitcher Chris Duffy served it up. Just like that, the Buffalo were ahead, 2-1.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Rader.

The Beavers, at 35-43, have lost 5 straight games.
