Detroit catcher Pat Falk was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Havana beat the Pizzas, 6-5. John Charles snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-1 on the season. George Liston suffered the loss. The Sugar Kings now have a record of 35-43.

Jay Wesner was the walk-off hero for Havana. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sugar Kings left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Wesner told the Havana Bulletin.
