Bill Williams brought his A-game to help Kyiv defeat the Buffalo Buffalo, 4-1. Kyiv, now 34-41, holds down third place in the Federation League Knuckleheads Division.

The Buffalo had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Cossacks going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old third baseman Lorenzo Chavez came to the plate. Chavez hit a bases-clearing triple on a first pitch slider from Buffalo hurler Josh Brown. It was Chavez's 1st triple of the year.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Kyiv manager Boris Lahutin.
