Blueberry Bulldogs 5-3 Winners Over Brooklyn
|
Brooklyn right fielder Corey Buntin had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Buntin was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2, even as Sudbury beat the Knights, 5-3. Eric Barone notched his 15th save of the season. Sudbury is now 39-37, while Brooklyn is 41-35.
The Blueberry Bulldogs got a big at-bat from catcher Adrian Silvester. For the game, Silvester was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Sudbury a 2-1 lead.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Sudbury manager Coach John.
