The rain did not keep Kyiv and Dublin from finishing their game.
Adam Dodson was outstanding against Dublin. The right-hander, who finished 3rd in the FL in ERA with 3.25 in 2039, had a forkball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Cossacks 4-2 win. Picking up the save was Bill Williams. He's now 2 for 2 in save chances.
Antonio Suarez had a direct impact on the outcome. Suarez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Kyiv up, 3-2.
Kyiv manager Boris Lahutin was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
Kyiv improves to 43-33 with the win. They lead their division by 5 games.
