The Buffalo Buffalo faced a tough opponent in Portland pitcher Paolo Ferrari, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Greenhouse by a final score of 4-3. Ferrari went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The first-place Beavers now sit at 43-31.

Rey Pina was the walk-off hero for Buffalo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Buffalo shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Pina, "one at-bat at a time."
