CF Salgado Lights Up Dragon Warriors for 5 RBIs as Archies Tie WS
|
The St. Louis Archies and the Hanoi Dragon Warriors will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. The St. Louis offense came alive in a must-win situation to beat Hanoi, 12-9, at Team2 Ballpark to force the series into one final game. St. Louis center fielder Albert Salgado was 3-3 with 3 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5.
Loveland, Colorado-born Brian Nadeau came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Archies trailing 9-8, he hit a 2-run single to right to put St. Louis on top.
"We are one step closer to our ultimate goal of bringing a title back to the people of St. Louis," Salgado said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Team2 Ballpark in San Diego.
