Brooklyn Wins at Home to Take 3-0 Lead in WS
|
The Brooklyn Knights are one game away from a sweep after beating the visiting Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 4-1, at Brooklyn Coliseum. Knights left-hander Alejandro Rodriguez had a standout performance in which he threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Brooklyn now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 World Series.
In the bottom of the third, Brooklyn shortstop Danny White had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and no one out, White stroked a 2-run home run to left. It made the score 2-0, Brooklyn. For the game, he was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We aren't quitting," Sudbury manager Lord Parquad said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Brooklyn Coliseum in Brooklyn.
