Almost There: St. Louis On Cusp of LC Triumph After 7-2 Win
The St. Louis Archies moved to within one game of the World Series, downing the Dublin Porters on the road at Porters Ballpark by a score of 7-2. Archies right-hander Spencer Hay had a strong outing. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Archies a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship.

St. Louis used the hitting of Alex Garcia to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Archies on top, 4-2. For the game, Garcia had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Garcia attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
