Takoyaki Take Nail-Biter Over Porters
The Osaka Takoyaki defeated the Dublin Porters in 11 innings, 10-7, in part because of designated hitter Jim Garnet. Garnet was 3 for 6 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Takoyaki. Osaka reliever Matt Schille was the winner. His record is now 5-5. Evan King took the loss. The third-place Takoyaki go to 76-87.

Garnet delivered in the clutch for Osaka. In the bottom of the 11th, he took a 2-2 sinker from Dublin pitcher Evan King and parked it over the fence. The 3-run home run won it for Osaka.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Garnet. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
