Blitzed by Lucio, Knights, Beavers Sink Further in DS
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Daniel Lucio, the Brooklyn Knights got a road win against the Portland Beavers, 7-6, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. Lucio slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Knights, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.
The result might have been different, had it not been for three-time All-Star Kenichi Kanzaki. Kanzaki had a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Knights ahead, 7-6. For the game, Kanzaki had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Beavers manager GM admiralballtr8s did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 8th , 2050 at Brooklyn Coliseum in Brooklyn.
