Road Win Lifts Sudbury to 2-1 Lead in LC
Josh Deere pitched a gem to lead the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs to victory, 10-6, over the Saskatchewan 92's in Game 3 of the League Championship. The right-handed Deere was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 in the win, which gave the Blueberry Bulldogs a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Albert Bencomo came through with a big-time hit for Sudbury. The left fielder smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 9-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We lost," Saskatchewan manager Salvador Rubio said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Stadium 92 in Regina.
