Lansing Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in LC
The Lansing Red Storm got a strong performance from pitcher Ivan Hassett, who stymied the visiting Saskatchewan 92's en route to a win, 10-2, in Game 3 of the League Championship today. The 92's could never get a bead on the right-handed Hassett, who threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball. The Red Storm now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Dave Gomez hit a run-scoring triple off Amari Smith in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Red Storm in front, 3-2. In addition to the triple, Gomez had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.

Saskatchewan manager Ken Fantetti called the blowout loss "a real dud."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Atlanta in Lansing.
