The Brooklyn Knights got a great start from 38-year-old right-hander Mark Foglesong, as Brooklyn won the contest, 4-1, at Beavers Park. Foglesong threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball in the win, which allowed the Knights to grab a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

Foglesong, the Brooklyn right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits. He collected 5 strikeouts.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang. "That's what Mark is right now."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Beavers Park in Pittsburgh.
