Detroit Takes League Championship
The Detroit Pizzas are riding high after knocking off the Los Angeles Kings in the League Championship.

"We're feeling confident now and that's half the battle," said Byron Brymer, who was named series MVP. "You play confidently, you play well and it shows up with results like this."

Detroit won the final game by a 9-1 count at Pizzas Ballpark and the series 4-2.

For the series, Brymer hit .360 with a .385 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Detroit Pizzas will play against the St. Louis Archies in the next round. St. Louis won their series against the Dublin Porters 4 games to 0. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
