Beavers Hammered by Gonsalez, Drop Game 3 to Dragon Warriors
The Hanoi Dragon Warriors have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Portland Beavers, winning, 6-3, at The Nest. Dragon Warriors second baseman Justin Gonsalez went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The win cuts the deficit facing the Dragon Warriors to 2-1 in the best-of-7 League Championship.

Ronnie Viverette went 1 for 4 for Hanoi. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Viverette, who finished 4th in the AL in extra base hits with 76 in 2047, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Portland hurler Paolo Ferrari, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Dragon Warriors a 4-3 lead.

"I like our mindset right now," said Hanoi manager GM Schnee.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Nest in Johnson City.
