92's Edge Archies, 2-1, to Open DS

The Divisional Series got off to a quiet start, with the traveling Saskatchewan 92's taking a low-scoring, 2-1 win over the host St. Louis Archies. Saskatchewan left-hander Ronaldo Sardinha was marvelous at Team2 Ballpark. The 92's now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.
Chris Nicotra, who finished 4th in the FL in slugging percentage with .577 in 2045, had a direct impact on the outcome. Nicotra contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Saskatchewan up, 2-0.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Sardinha told the Saskatchewan Today.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Team2 Ballpark in San Diego.
