Dragon Warriors Sunk by Archies

The St. Louis Archies earned a win at Team2 Ballpark, knocking off the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 4-1. On the bump for St. Louis was right-hander Nate Edmondson. He had a starring role in the triumph. Edmondson, now 7-4, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The Dragon Warriors, now 35-37, have lost 4 straight.
The Dragon Warriors had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Archies going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first overall pick Brian Cifelli came to the plate. Cifelli hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 fastball from Hanoi hurler Jamie Conway. It was Cifelli's 17th home run of the year.
"We won," Cifelli told assembled media after the game. "I guess that's all that really matters."
