Beavers Advance to League Championship
|
The Portland Beavers outclassed the Havana Sugar Kings in all facets of the game throughout the AL Divisional Series.
The end result was a Portland series sweep to advance to the League Championship, capped off by a 11-6 win in the final game.
"We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said second baseman Oscar Hernandez, who hit .462 in the series.
Hernandez's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .500 on-base percentage and had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Portland Beavers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hanoi Dragon Warriors - Detroit Pizzas series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
