Gales Heading to Round 3
After eliminating the Sao Paolo Churrasco 4-3 in the Round 2 at Churrasco Grounds, the victorious Galway Gales will now move on to the next round: the Round 3.

Galway beat Sao Paolo 4-1 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Gales first baseman Gregorio Gonzalez, who knocked in 11 runs, hit .583 and scored 6 times.

"The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Gonzalez said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here."

The Galway Gales don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hartford Defenders - Santa Clara Vanguard series. Hartford leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
