The Lansing Red Storm got a superb performance from pitcher Richard Arocha, but the Brooklyn Knights still won the game, 7-3. Arocha threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. John MacMullen earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Brooklyn has now won 3 in a row.

Brooklyn took a 4-3 lead on John Espinosa's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Espinosa hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Lansing pitcher Sergio Bahena visibly frustrated.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Espinosa told the Brooklyn Bulletin.
