Portland turned a good effort from starter Chris Duffy into a win over the Yellowstone Super Volcano at Volcano Ballpark. The Beavers won the game, 4-1. Miguel Romero earned save number 3 this season. Portland has now won 5 games in a row.

Luke Spradley, who is tied for 10th in the AL in total bases with 136, took Yellowstone hurler Art Madsen deep in the top of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Beavers on top, 2-1. In all, Spradley had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
