Rochester Sweeps into the Round 2
After their 5-3 win today at Ballpark of Rochester over the Philadelphia Avalanche, the Rochester River Sharks will advance to the Round 2. Rochester won the series by a 4-0 margin.

Leading the way for the River Sharks was third baseman Tim Jennings, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Rochester River Sharks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Kinsale Fisherman - Phoenix Falcons series. Kinsale leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
