The Kinsale Fisherman out-dueled and outgunned the Sarasota Sweeties in the Round 2 and are on to the next round.

Kinsale won the final game 4-1 at Blue Raiders Ballpark and the series 4-2.

Joe Claeys was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Round 2. He had a .368 average with a .519 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 6 runs.

"I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the Round 3," he said.

The Kinsale Fisherman will play against the Nephi Threshers in the next round. Nephi won their series against the Eugene Exploding Whales 4 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
