Gales Advance to Round 2
After their 2-0 win today at Orange Sox Ballpark over the Fresno Orange Sox, the Galway Gales will advance to the Round 2. Galway won the series by a 4-1 margin.

Leading the way for the Gales was shortstop Mike Kyte, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Galway Gales don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Sao Paolo Churrasco - Baltimore Jaspers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
