Due in large part to catcher John Espinosa, the Brooklyn Knights sunk the Lansing Red Storm, 9-7. Espinosa went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Tanner Denny earned the save for Brooklyn, his 14th of the year. The Knights improved their record to 34-39 by beating Lansing.

The Knights got a big hit from shortstop Danny White. Facing Lansing pitcher Adam Widener in the bottom of the fifth, White pounded a 2-run double to right. His 19th double of the season put the Knights ahead, 8-3.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Espinosa.
