Orange Kings Heading to Round 2
|
A classic and dramatic Round 1 has wrapped up, with the Houston Orange Kings outlasting the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes to advance to the Round 2.
Houston won the final game by a score of 3-2 and took the series 4-3.
"We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Houston right fielder Tony Cruz, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.
Cruz hit .385 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Houston Orange Kings will play against the Da Nang Dolphins in the next round. Da Nang won their series against the Killarney Lakes 4 games to 3. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
