East Haddam Gets 4-1 Road Win
|
The East Haddam Hyenas downed the Buffalo Buffalo, 4-1, at The Greenhouse. Stellar pitching by Einar Galindo had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the FL in strikeouts with 120, handcuffed his opponent all game. Galindo yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-7. The Hyenas go to 33-39, putting them third in the Federation League Knuckleheads Division.
Jeremy Plummer, who is tied for 7th in the FL in RBI with 43, had a direct impact on the outcome. Plummer contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the third inning to put East Haddam up, 3-0.
Plummer attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
