John Potter, who is on pace for 216 strikeouts this season, was locked in. The right-hander led the Yellowstone Super Volcano to a 6-3 win against the Memphis Chicks at Russwood Park. The winning pitcher was Potter, now 5-4. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Earning his 20th save of the year was Art Madsen.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Nate Horton? The Yellowstone right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Super Volcano on top, 3-0. For the game, Horton had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
