Buffalo Tacks 8-3 Loss on Waikiki
|
The Buffalo Buffalo defeated the Waikiki Wayfinders, 8-3. Left Fielder Sam Gleghorn deserved a large share of the credit. Gleghorn threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the Buffalo. Gleghorn got the win, improving to 4-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. The second-place Buffalo bumped their record to 37-35.
Buffalo used a well-timed hit by Emilio Nin to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Buffalo ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Gleghorn.
