Great Effort by Lucot Wasted in 8-7 Cossacks Loss
Kyiv center fielder Sam Lucot pounded Los Angeles Kings pitchers at Kyiv Grounds, but it was not enough to keep the Cossacks from falling, 8-7. Lucot went 2-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The win hiked the Los Angeles record to 36-35.

Los Angeles used the hitting of Gabe Herrera to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kings on top, 8-7. For the game, Herrera had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Los Angeles manager Jim KP.
