Sudbury pitcher Josh Deere did his part in helping his team defeat the East Haddam Hyenas, 7-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was Luis Espinoza, who threw 109 pitches over 9 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 4 hits. With the loss, East Haddam sinks to 6-2.

Sudbury took a 3-1 lead on Deere's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Mark Foglesong in the top of the sixth, propelled Sudbury to the win.
