Arizona turned a good performance from starting pitcher Kevin Spencer into a 7-2 triumph over the Kyiv Cossacks at Desert Storm Stadium. The triumph puts Arizona at 36-33 for the season.

Chris Nicotra had a big 3-run home run for the Desert Storm in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Arizona leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Vince Collins and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 16th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Desert Storm ahead, 4-0.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Nicotra. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
