Garcia Propels Cossacks to 15-6 Win
The Kyiv Cossacks defeated the Arizona Scorpions, 15-6, at Desert Storm Stadium. Kyiv left fielder Rod Garcia had a superb performance. He went 2-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 5. Kyiv raised its record to 40-29 with the win.

Jeremy Gillespie's at-bat in the top of the seventh was significant, coming with a runner on 2nd and the game tied, 5-5. The Kyiv third baseman hit a run-scoring single off Jon Avitia to put the Cossacks up.

"We got the victory," said Garcia. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
