Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Arizona Desert Storm got the win.

Arizona registered a win at Desert Storm Stadium by beating the Kyiv Cossacks, 4-3. Pitcher Ron Cook was one reason why the Desert Storm triumphed. The win was credited to Jason Walker in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Matt Namie took the loss. Terry Donohue recorded the save for Arizona, his 15th of the season.

Had Ben Potgeter not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Potgeter hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Desert Storm.

Arizona manager GM Fetty called it "a good, solid win."

The 'W' lifts Arizona's record to 37-33.
