Eric Casale kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Nephi Threshers were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the Rochester River Sharks at Ballpark of Rochester today. The right-handed Casale gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 11 strikeouts.

"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Casale said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."

On his stats sheet for the year Casale shows a 16-3 record, 19 starts, 141.1 innings, 172 strikeouts and a 1.72 ERA.
