The inspired effort of Kyiv third baseman Jeremy Gillespie was not enough to prevent a loss, 10-7, to the Yellowstone Super Volcano. Gillespie was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Super Volcano, now 6-1, have been playing some good baseball.

Yellowstone shortstop Andres Jaquez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Super Volcano ahead, 7-3.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Jaquez.
