Guerrero Blanks Portland, 3-0
|
Edwin Guerrero kept the Portland Pickles hitters off balance all game long, as the Philadelphia Avalanche pitcher blanked the Pickles, 3-0.
Guerrero gave up 5 hits, struck out 1, and walked 1. In the postgame press conference, the right-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length.
"It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it."
In 24 starts this season, Guerrero has picked up 9 wins while suffering 6 losses. He has pitched 161.2 innings, allowed 159 hits, struck out 94 and posted a 3.23 ERA.
